The UK goverenment on Tuesday permitted a 20,000-square-metre plot of land, often called Royal Mint Court, for China’s new embassy in London. The determination has stoked heated controversy, largely over nationwide safety considerations and the sign it might ship, that Britain bows to financial stress from Beijing.
