France 24’s Gavin Lee is joined by Liza, an adolescent who escaped Russia after being forcibly displaced from Ukraine. Around 20,000 kids have been taken from their houses and despatched to Russia or occupied territories. The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for President Putin over expenses of illegal deportation. While the Kremlin calls it a “humanitarian evacuation,” impartial investigators proceed to uncover the reality. Nearly 1,900 kids have been returned, however many stay lacking. Liza, a part of the Ukrainian music group Daughters of Donbass, shares her exceptional story.
