Trump Repulses Critics With ‘WTF’ Comment About Doug Burgum’s Wife | EUROtoday

Donald Trump unsettled critics on Thursday after sharing the backstory behind his choice to nominate former North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum as secretary of the Interior Department.

The president made the remarks in the course of the signing of an govt order addressing drug dependancy. Burgum attended the occasion within the Oval Office along with his spouse, Kathryn Burgum, who spoke about her personal restoration from dependancy.

Trump recalled watching a video of the couple driving horses and mentioned it instantly caught his consideration.

“I said, ‘Who is that?’” Trump defined. “I was talking about her, not him.”

When he was knowledgeable it was Burgum and his spouse, Trump mentioned he selected the spot to rent the businessman.

Why? According to Trump, it was as a result of “anybody that has somebody like you [Kathryn] to be with, it’s an amazing tribute and it’s a great couple, an amazing couple.”

The remarks rapidly sparked discomfort and criticism on-line.
