Socialist deputy Jérôme Guedj, at the National Assembly, January 19, 2026.

The socialist deputy Jérôme Guedj introduced, Thursday February 5, his candidacy for the 2027 presidential election, excluding the first of the “unitary left”, with a view to “carry the voice of a republican left, the voice of a European left, the voice of a universalist, secular left, of a social, ecological left”.

“I am the candidate to first address this question of values: we do not compromise with the Republic, we do not compromise with secularism, with universalism, we are intransigent on the questions of the fight against racism, the fight against anti-Semitism”developed the 54-year-old MP on France Inter. He defined that he needed to embody “the courage of nuance” and criticized a PS and environmentalist major “baroque”.

The individuals on this major – by which neither Raphaël Glucksmann (Place publique), nor Jean-Luc Mélenchon (La France insoumise, LFI), nor the French Communist Party (PCF) will take part – introduced on the finish of January that it might be held on October 11.
