White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt raised eyebrows and sparked considerations on Tuesday together with her use of a single phrase whereas responding to questions on President Donald Trump’s name for Republicans to nationalize voting.

Leavitt was requested by a reporter to make clear whether or not Trump believes elections ought to stay beneath state management.

“The president believes in the United States Constitution,” Leavitt replied.

Then she added: “However, he believes there has obviously been a lot of fraud and irregularities that have taken place in American elections, and again, voter ID is a highly popular and common-sense policy that the president wants to pursue, and he wants to pass legislation to make that happen for all states across the country.”
