“It’s not one thing that occurs. You might fly your entire life, your whole life. I’ve received 16,000 flight hours, that is two full years off the floor of the Earth, and I’ve by no means hit an animal with an airplane. Can it occur? Sure. Is it prone to occur? Probably not,” he said.
Leighton noted that it’s often not possible for planes to take a sudden turn once they reach a certain speed during takeoff.
“You’re not capable of swerve left or proper like you possibly can with a automobile. With an airplane, your vary of movement is way smaller as a result of the aircraft solely has three wheels, so it is not made for that. It’s not made to show shortly at excessive velocity on the bottom,” he added.
