A thriller centred on vertigo-inducing heights and pure adrenaline has earned widespread acclaim from viewers, and it is now out there on BBC iPlayer. Fall, which premiered in 2022, is a high-octane survival movie following two pals, Becky and Hunter, who scale a 2,000-foot deserted tv mast in California’s Mojave Desert to overcome their anxieties.
When the ladder provides means, they discover themselves stranded on a minuscule platform with out water, meals or cellular sign, with a stomach-churning descent on all sides. On movie rankings platform Rotten Tomatoes, the one-hour-47-minute manufacturing boasts a decent 79% rating from critics and audiences, with many commending the narrative’s sudden flip and the vertiginous sequences. One overview mentioned: “I was on the edge of my seat the whole time during this movie it was definitely an adrenaline rush. Im scared of heights too so that made it worse, sweaty palms the whole time! Great twist at the end too, definitely worth a watch!”
Another mentioned: “Exceptionally good… perfect blend of twists… great production.” A 3rd mentioned: “You’d think how interesting is a movie about two girls climbing a tower, and it’s awesome. Great movie, the story is OK, but it’s all about the thrill ride that it is.”
A fourth wrote: “Absolutely amazing. A bit unrealistic at times, however kept me on the edge which is very difficult with me as I’ve watched quite a lot and usually nothing gets me. I definitely did not expect the twist it had and totally made me gasp!”
Others issued a warning, together with one reviewer who said: “The suspense and acting were great. If you have a fear of heights, like me, I recommend breaks when watching. It’s a good story of survival and moving forward when life sets us back.
“However, the film was actually too lengthy for what occurs. There’s an honest twist however, the ending is fairly chilly. It may have had rather less clichés so general, three out of 5.”
Another commented: “I actually needed to flip away and stroll out of the room at instances as a result of the peak scenes scared me a lot… adore it! One of my favorite motion pictures – saved me so on edge.”
Others highlighted that portions of the film felt implausible and this affected their enjoyment, as one viewer remarked: “The director builds a tense setting, however I’ve to agree with different evaluations that there are some very unrealistic situations throughout this film. The leads do an excellent job.”
Another concurred as they noted: “If you wish to put apart the entire fully improper climbing methods that make this film very unrealistic and aggravating, there are some very tense moments on this film.”
Another criticised it sharply, writing: “Don’t know what was worse, the unrealistic elements or the more severe appearing I’ve ever seen. This film made me actively extra mad all through the dumb scenes. Don’t watch until you need a horrible watching expertise.”
