Armed police seek for man ‘carrying bladed weapon’ in Edinburgh and urge public to keep away from space | EUROtoday

Police have warned the general public to keep away from a part of Edinburgh following “reports of a man with a bladed weapon”.

Armed police are in attendance on the incident in Calder within the west of the Scottish metropolis.

A press release from Police Scotland stated: “The public is being advised to avoid the Calder area of Edinburgh following reports of a man with a bladed weapon. Police, including firearms officers, are in attendance.”

Pictures from the scene of the incident confirmed a number of police autos exterior Cobbinshaw House, a tower block of flats, in addition to armed law enforcement officials.
