Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) apparently didn’t get the memo that the United States is at warfare in opposition to Iran. (Watch the video under.)

The MAGA congresswoman dug in her heels on MS NOW Sunday, insisting the U.S.-Israeli assaults have been mere “strategic strikes,” claiming that’s what the White House and Secretary of State Marco Rubio instructed her.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed within the U.S. operation, and it has to this point led to 4 service member deaths. The preventing intensified on Monday.

President Donald Trump has warned of extra casualties to come back. The operation has come beneath criticism for stoking a wider battle and maybe entrenching the U.S. in a protracted combat ― all with out Congressional approval.

“The president has called it a war,” “The Weekend Primetime” host Catherine Rampell reminded Luna. (And so has Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.)

“Strategic strikes are not war,” Luna replied.

“Really?” co-host Elise Jordan shot again. “So if someone bombed America, that wouldn’t be a war?”

“Do you see boots on the ground?” Luna requested.

“That makes no sense,” Jordan retorted. “You’re saying there has to be boots on the ground?”

“Iran has killed thousands of Americans and murdered them. So by definition, they’ve already declared war on the United States,” Luna replied.

Jordan pivoted to the unanswered query of whether or not the battle has met the usual “to commit our sons and daughters in the military to war” … “and making that case to America” by way of Congress for approval.

HOST: The President has been calling it a warfare!

LUNA:. I spoke to WH & Secretary of State. Strategic strikes aren’t warfare.

HOST: So if America was bombed that wouldn’t be warfare?

LUNA: Do you see boots on the bottom?

For fucks sake, can we please cease placing these folks on television. pic.twitter.com/aGAZRJ2Ft2

Co-host Ayman Mohyeldin pushed again at Luna’s remark about how Iran has induced the demise of 1000’s of Americans, prompting extra aggressive crosstalk.

He accused the right-wing House member of filibustering as an alternative of making an attempt a “good faith conversation.”

“You’re coming on every time and keep stating things that are incorrect,” Mohyeldin mentioned.

“The United States launched a war against Iran,” he added. “Iran retaliated against American service members. You can call it whatever you want to call it, but at the end of the day, the Iranians responded and killed three American service members.”

Anna Paulina Luna: “Iran killed thousands of Americans IN AMERICA.”

Ayman: “Where?”

Luna: “Are you serious right now?”
