However, the brewery and all of Innis & Gunn’s taprooms will shut. C&C Group has beforehand been a minority shareholder and brewing companion for Innis & Gunn. “It is with deep regret that redundancies will need to be made. The Administrators would like to thank all the employees of the Companies for their hard work.

“We will proceed to help these affected at this troublesome time. A small variety of workers have been retained to help the orderly closure of the brewery enterprise and the taprooms.”

Dougal Gunn Sharp who founded Innis & Gunn in Edinburgh in 2003 said he was deeply sorry to “everybody affected – notably my colleagues who’ve misplaced their jobs and the shareholders who believed in what we have been constructing”.
