Seven U.S. service members have been killed within the conflict with Iran, the U.S. navy stated.
The service member died Saturday night time after they had been significantly injured throughout an assault on U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia on March 1, U.S. Central Command stated in an announcement Sunday.
“This is the seventh service member killed in action during Operation Epic Fury,” the assertion added.
The slain service member has not been publicly recognized. Officials stated their identification could be shared 24 hours after their subsequent of kin are notified.
News of the service member’s dying comes at some point after President Donald Trump joined the grieving households of the primary six U.S. troopers killed within the conflict for his or her dignified switch at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.
The troopers killed in motion had been recognized as Maj. Jeffrey O’Brien, 45, of Indianola, Iowa; Capt. Cody Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida; Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan, 54, of Sacramento, California; Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska; and Sgt. Declan Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, lowa, who was posthumously promoted from specialist.
The six members of the Army Reserve had been killed by a drone strike at a command heart in Kuwait. The group was all from the 103rd Sustainment Command primarily based in Des Moines, Iowa, which supplies meals, gas, water and ammunition, transport gear and provides.
They died simply at some point after the U.S. and Israel launched their joint navy marketing campaign in opposition to Iran.
Trump has beforehand stated there’ll probably be extra U.S. casualties within the conflict, and on Saturday, when requested if he thought he would attend extra dignified transfers, Trump stated: “I’m sure. I hate to…but it’s part of war.”
