A British couple has died after drowning at a preferred seaside on the New South Wales (NSW) coast in Australia.

Emergency providers had been known as to Shellharbour Beach shortly after 11am on Wednesday after stories that two folks had been struggling within the water.

Members of the general public helped pull a 66-year-old man and a 64-year-old girl from the water and tried to offer them CPR, in keeping with the New South Wales police pressure.
