Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin, who was personally attacked by former colleague Pete Hegseth months in the past over Iran, might have invited the Trump administration’s wrath once more on Monday. (Watch the video beneath.)

Griffin, the conservative channel’s nationwide safety correspondent, instructed anchor Bret Baier that President Donald Trump “knows” the U.S. bombed a women college in Iran, killing a reported 175 in the beginning of the warfare. The president’s wavering responses to disclaim blame for the horrific strike have been an try to “muddy the waters,” she added.

After instantly claiming it was Iran that hit the college in Minab, Trump barely softened his stance on Monday. He stated the “very generic” Tomahawk missile concerned within the tragedy was within the palms of many international locations and maybe Iran as nicely.

Baier requested Griffin in regards to the president’s remarks.

“That was a bit surprising to me because, basically, the U.S. has Tomahawks,” Griffin replied. “Tomahawks have to be fired from either submarines or from warships. The Brits and the Australians have Tomahawks, but they’re not part of this conflict. And then you also have the Japanese, who are in a testing phase. So it seems highly unlikely that it would be anyone’s Tomahawk other than a U.S. Tomahawk that hit that school. And I think the president knows that. He just knows that this is certainly a mistake, a big mistake, and it’s being investigated. But, he is trying to sort of muddy the waters by talking about the Tomahawks.”

Reports by The New York Times and The Washington Post, in addition to a Reuters story citing unnamed U.S. army investigators, level the finger on the U.S. for the bombing of Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary college. The college was subsequent to a naval base run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

“Are we sure that it was a Tomahawk that hit that school?” Baier adopted.

“There’s no evidence that the Iranians fired anything at the school,” Griffin replied. “If you look at the satellite imageries, and there’ve been a lot of investigations from the air, from these satellite photos showing the impact and showing the likelihood that it was a Tomahawk.”

Griffin: It appears extremely unlikely it will be anybody’s tomahawk aside from a US tomahawk that hit that college. I feel the president is aware of that. He simply is aware of that it is a large mistake, and it is being investigated however, he’s making an attempt to form of muddy the waters

Griffin was singled out by Defense Secretary Hegseth in a press convention for questioning the completeness of U.S. strikes final yr on Iran’s nuclear services. Noting to Hegseth that among the uranium may have been moved beforehand, the previous “Fox & Friends” host snapped.

“Of course, we’re watching every single aspect,” Hegseth replied. “But Jennifer, you’ve been about the worst, the one who misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says.”
