In an interview with Corriere della Sera, American President Donald Trump stated he was “shocked” by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. «I can not think about it. I’m shocked by her. I believed he had braveness, I used to be improper,” Trump stated.

Trump’s response to Meloni’s distancing

The statements by the chief of the White House come after the protection of Pope Leo XIV by the prime minister, who intervened within the debate between the Pontiff and the tycoon in regards to the struggle in Iran. Trump’s phrases in regards to the Pope had been “unacceptable”, in keeping with Meloni. “I have expressed and continue to express my solidarity with Pope Leo – the Prime Minister then added -.
