Motorists confronted rush hour chaos this morning following an accident on a serious motorway. One lane was closed this morning on the M62 westbound at junction 27 Gildersome after the incident. Traffic cameras confirmed queues build up within the space.

YorkshireLive stories the the hardshoulder, which runs as a reside lane, continues to be closed.

INRIX says: “Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to accident on M62 Westbound at J27 M621 (Gildersome). The hard shoulder, which usually runs as a live lane, is closed.”
