Approximately 60 firefighters had been deployed to battle a fierce blaze that devastated a pub in a London village.

London Fire Brigade dispatched eight hearth engines to a pub on Heathfield Road in Keston, Bromley.

Emergency companies had been first alerted to the hearth on the family-run village pub at 10.33pm on Sunday night, 19 April, with crews bringing the blaze below management by 12.14am on Monday morning.

London Fire Brigade confirmed that on the peak of the inferno, a part of the primary ground, second ground and roof of The Fox Keston Pub and Dining had been engulfed in flames.

One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders was deployed on the scene as an commentary platform to help firefighters battling the blaze from above.

Following six emergency calls, crews had been mobilised from Biggin Hill, Bromley, Orpington and surrounding hearth stations.

A spokesperson for LFB mentioned following the hearth: “Crews will remain on scene damping down remaining hotspots.

“The reason for the hearth is now below investigation.”
