A homicide probe has been launched following an incident in a fish and chip store in Stockbridge Village, Merseyside. Merseyside Police stated at round 7.30pm on Friday, April 17, a 54-year-old man was “reportedly assaulted inside The Village Chippy, off Leach Croft, by another male”.

“The incident was reported to us the following day by North West Ambulance Service after the victim was taken to hospital with a serious head injury,” it added.
