“Arrested Development” star David Cross thinks there are lots of similarities between his TV character Tobias Fünke and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

In a current interview on The Daily Beast’s “Obsessed: The Podcast,” the actor, 62, joked that he thinks RFK Jr. suffers from “never nude” syndrome similar to his character within the sitcom.

The syndrome relies on an actual psychological situation referred to as gymnophobia, which is described as an intense, irrational worry or nervousness relating to nudity.

“I think a guy who works out in his jeans is weird. That’s weird,” Cross stated, referring to the highest Trump official’s weird behavior of sporting denims whereas working up a sweat. “He’s already weird. He was weird way before he entered public office.”

In February, the Trump loyalist went viral after filming himself taking a chilly plunge and biking in a sauna — all whereas clad in his trademark denims — alongside a shirtless Kid Rock for a video that Kennedy, 72, stated was meant to encourage Americans to work out extra.

“The thing you have to remember is, Tobias Fünke is deeply disturbed and deluded, and not especially bright. So in that way, sure, it’s relatable,” Cross stated in the course of the Apr. 17 episode of the podcast.

Cross made the comparability after host Matt Wilstein introduced up a concept that’s been circulating on-line that Kennedy may “secretly [be] a ‘never nude’ like Tobias.”

In “Arrested Development,” Tobias, as a “never nude,” wears denim cutoffs continuously, even beneath different garments or when he’s within the bathe.

Last month, Kennedy gave a prolonged rationalization about why he wears denims even throughout strenuous actions like mountaineering after being mocked on-line.

“I just had a busy schedule always, so I would go hiking with my dogs in the morning and then I would go straight to the gym in my jeans, and it was just a convenience to work out. And then when I was campaigning, a couple of people took pictures of me in the gym wearing jeans, and, I don’t know. Then I just got in too deep,” he stated throughout a Mar. 23 episode of “The Bossticks” podcast.
