Luxury automotive producer Jaguar has unveiled a brand new brand and branding forward of its relaunch as an electric-only model.

The British automobile maker, owned by Tata Motors, will launch three new electrical automobiles in 2026, having taken new automobiles off sale greater than a 12 months in the past to concentrate on reinventing the model.

As a part of its rebrand, Jaguar revealed a model new brand on Tuesday, alongside a brand new prancing “leaper” cat design and advertising and marketing slogans equivalent to “delete ordinary”.

The new bespoke brand, written as JaGUar, has “seamlessly blended upper and lower case characters in visual harmony”, the corporate stated.

Jaguar, which has websites across the nation together with in Warwickshire, Coventry, Solihull and Castle Bromwich, introduced its transition to electrical automobiles in 2021.

Managing director Rawdon Glover stated taking new automobiles off sale was “intentional” because it seemed to create a barrier between the outdated fashions and the brand new Jaguar automobiles.

“We need to change people’s perceptions of what Jaguar stands for,” he stated.

“And that’s not a straightforward, easy thing to do. So having a fire break in between old and new is, actually, very helpful.”

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) chief artistic officer Gerry McGovern stated Jaguar had “its roots in originality” and that its founder, Sir William Lyons, believed it “should be a copy of nothing.”

The new Jaguar model was “imaginative, bold and artistic” and “unique and fearless,” he added.

The first automotive throughout the new model could be a four-door GT in-built Solihull, West Midlands, JLR beforehand stated.
