Parliament will probably be recalled on Saturday for an emergency debate on the way forward for British Steel’s plant in Scunthorpe.

A authorities supply says it’s trying “to take control”‘ of the corporate, after its Chinese proprietor mentioned its blast furnaces are “no longer financially sustainable”.

Talks have been going down this week talks to maintain manufacturing going on the agency, which employs 2,700 individuals.
