“The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart hailed Democratic election wins this week as “amazing.” But in nearly his subsequent breath on the most recent episode of “The Weekly Show” podcast, the comic then stingingly requested: “How will they squander it?”

“How will they piss this away?” Stewart requested his visitors, MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes and former Obama marketing campaign supervisor David Plouffe.

Hayes steered “thermostatic public opinion” when “one party has the White House, the other party tends to do better in the off-year elections,” and the unpopularity of President Donald Trump have been two components that contributed to this week’s victories, however are issues that Democrats in the end haven’t any actual say over.
