Marjorie Taylor Greene Slams Trump For ‘Gaslighting’ Voters About Prices | EUROtoday
Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene continues attacking her personal Republican Party — and she or he isn’t exhibiting indicators of slowing down.
President Donald Trump has made it a degree to spew lies concerning inflation and grocery costs, and Greene addressed these claims on “The Sean Spicer Show” on Thursday.
“President Trump and his administration does deserve a lot of credit for lowering inflation and holding it steady, but that doesn’t bring prices down, and so gaslighting the people and trying to tell them that prices have come down is not helping, it’s actually infuriating people,” Greene informed the previous White House press secretary.

Greene added that the Trump administration can not pull the wool over the American folks’s eyes.
“People know what they’re paying at the grocery store,” she mentioned. “They know what they’re paying for their kids’ clothes and school supplies. They know what they’re paying for their electricity bills.”
She went on to say that the White House’s method “does not work,” providing each critique and an alternative choice to the administration’s messaging.
“We need compassion and [to] show that we care about the American people, and show that we are in the trenches with them on what they’re going through,” Greene continued. “You don’t gaslight them. You don’t lecture them, and you don’t deny what’s happening.”

Greene additional argued that the federal government wanted “to rein in spending” and that “government spending drives inflation.” The Republican then cited the 9% inflation fee in 2022, referencing the CARES Act beneath Trump’s first presidency, earlier than shifting to criticize former President Joe Biden and former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for passing “massive pieces of legislation.”
At a Q&A on Monday, Trump addressed Greene’s sudden shift — and expressed confusion over her current stance.
“I don’t know what happened to Marjorie. She’s a nice woman, but I don’t know what happened. She’s lost her way, I think,” Trump mentioned.
On Wednesday, CNN chief information analyst Harry Enten didn’t maintain again when sharing his ideas on Trump’s statements in regards to the financial system and their influence on the American folks.
“Donald Trump might be trying to downplay voters’ concerns about affordability, but I’m here to tell you that is a ginormous error,” Enten mentioned. “It may be an error that goes down in political infamy.”
