In Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sinisa Karan, an ally of deposed president Milorad Dodik, gained a snap presidential election in Republika Srpska, the Serb-majority autonomous entity of the nation. Karan obtained 50.89% of the vote, defeating opposition candidate Branko Blanusa, although the opposition alleges fraud. He will serve solely till subsequent October’s common election.
