A Conservative peer who has donated to the Tories has defected to Reform UK.
Lord Malcolm Offord mentioned he was defecting from the Conservatives to Reform UK and meant to face for election to the Scottish Parliament subsequent 12 months.
The former Tory minister was launched by Reform chief Nigel Farage throughout a celebration rally in Falkirk on Saturday.
Lord Offord mentioned: “Today I can announce that I am resigning from the Conservative Party.
“Today I am joining Reform UK and today I announce my intention to stand for Reform in the Holyrood election in May next year.”
Lord Offord beforehand served within the Conservative authorities as an exports minister earlier than Labour gained the 2024 basic election.
