Charity welcomes dwelling wage rise in January | EUROtoday
A social motion charity has welcomed the choice to extend the dwelling wage in Jersey to £15.10 per hour in 2026.
The new price was authorized this week and can come into impact firstly of January.
The dwelling wage is £1.51 greater than Jersey’s minimal wage which is ready to extend to £13.59 per hour from April 2026.
Caritas Jersey CEO, Patrick Lynch, mentioned the dwelling wage was the minimal islanders wanted “in order to thrive, and not just survive here in Jersey”.
