President Donald Trump mentioned the United States will likely be “very strongly involved” in Venezuela’s oil business in an interview simply hours after he introduced that the army had carried out a strike in opposition to the nation and captured its chief, President Nicolas Maduro.
Speaking to “Fox & Friends” by cellphone Saturday morning, Trump was requested about “the future” of the oil business within the South American nation, which homes the world’s largest oil reserves.
“Well, I see that we’re going to be very strongly involved in it, that’s all,” the president responded. “I mean, what can I say?”
He touted the U.S. as having the “biggest” and “greatest” oil corporations on the planet earlier than reiterating, “we’re going to be very much involved in it.”
Later within the dialog, Trump defended the army motion as “saving lives” amid the stream of unlawful medicine into the U.S. The Justice Department launched an indictment Saturday morning of Maduro and his spouse, Cilia Flores, on narco-terrorism conspiracy fees.
