A 93-year-old man has been arrested in California after taking pictures his spouse of their automotive, police say.

Richard Hocking rang the police and turned himself in following the incident on January 3, within the Bay Area metropolis of Fremont, in what was town’s first murder of 2026.

According to the Fremont Police Department, officers have been dispatched to the scene at roughly 12:22 a.m. following experiences of a taking pictures.

Officers arrived on scene and detained the nonagenarian, who was discovered by his personal care. Inside the automotive, the officers discovered the physique of an 86-year-old lady.

The lady, recognized as Hocking’s spouse, was pronounced useless on the scene and a gun was recovered from contained in the car.
