SIR Keir Starmer has been issued a blunt warning from navy chiefs that the UK just isn’t prepared for struggle, and so they want an additional £28 billion to keep away from cuts within the armed forces.

But even NATO bosses at the moment are warning that the UK might be dragged in to struggle with Russia, and a few specialists say the introduction of conscription is feasible.

It comes after the UK assisted the US in seizing a Russian-flagged tanker, the Marinera, within the North Atlantic.

But Donald Trump has repeated his want to grab Greenland, a part of the territory of Denmark, a NATO member. If the US did this, it threatens to destroy the NATO navy alliance.
