A person has been killed by a tree falling onto a caravan as Storm Goretti battered the UK with as much as 99mph winds.
The man aged in his 50s was discovered useless within the Mawgan space of Helston on Thursday night, when a uncommon pink climate warning for “dangerous, stormy” gusts was in pressure throughout Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police mentioned emergency providers have been known as at round 7.35pm on Thursday, and work happened on Friday to take away the tree.
“Tragically, a man aged in his 50s was located deceased within the caravan. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers,” the pressure mentioned.
