Flagship awards honouring one of the best of British builders will return for a second yr following the success of its debut occasion. The Sunday Express will proceed its partnership with the British Construction and Property Awards, that are again in 2026, expanded to greater than 25 classes in response to overwhelming trade demand.

It recognises companies, builders and professionals spearheading Britain’s rebuilding growth. In addition to celebrating excellence in innovation, management and impression throughout the development, property and actual property sectors, a number of new classes have been added this yr.

They embrace prizes for one of the best quick and long-term lenders, scholar lodging builders, services administration groups and worldwide actual property companies – all reflecting the breadth and evolution of the sector.

Construction companies, property builders, architects, lenders {and professional} advisers are actually being inspired to submit nominations, with entries closing on the finish of this month and the shortlist to be introduced in early February.

The ceremony, to be held in Manchester on April 30, will shine a highlight on the initiatives, firms and people driving excellence at a time when the UK faces mounting strain to ship new houses, sustainable infrastructure and regeneration at scale.

Sara Cahill, of the British Construction and Property Awards, stated: “Last year exceeded all expectations. The quality of entries was exceptional and the response from across the industry was phenomenal.

“Demand for 2026 has already been incredible, which is why we’ve expanded the programme to include more than 20 categories, with several new additions driven directly by industry feedback.

“These awards are about properly recognising the scale, diversity and ambition of a sector that plays such a vital role in the UK economy.”

Major classes embrace Property Developer of the Year, Emerging Property Developer of the Year, Construction Business of the Year, Property Champion of the Year, CEO of the Year and the Net Zero Award, alongside classes recognising excellence in structure, regulation, advertising and marketing, sustainability and equality, range and inclusion.

A Sunday Express spokesman stated: “After the outstanding success of the inaugural awards, we are proud to continue our partnership with the British Construction and Property Awards.

“These awards celebrate the people, projects and organisations shaping the future of the built environment, and the expansion of categories this year reflects just how dynamic and far-reaching the sector has become. It’s a prestigious event that continues to go from strength to strength.”
