Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi and her dealing with of the Jeffrey Epstein information, calling out her habits throughout the House Judiciary Committee listening to.
“I don’t think Pam Bondi has confidence in Pam Bondi,” Massie stated Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” “She wasn’t confident enough to engage in anything but name calling in a hearing. And so, no, I don’t have confidence in her. She hasn’t got any sort of accountability there at the DOJ.”
During Wednesday’s listening to that questioned Bondi over the dealing with of the information associated to the late intercourse offender, Bondi largely responded to questioning with shouting, sarcasm and title calling.
During one change, Bondi referred to as Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) a “washed-up, loser lawyer” after he informed her to not filibuster.
But Bondi’s change — or moderately avoidance — of a number of of Epstein’s victims had Massie calling Bondi “cold.” Several of Epstein’s victims had been current on the listening to, and when Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) requested them to face and lift their palms if that they had tried to satisfy with Justice Department officers, all of them stood. Jayapal requested Bondi to apologize, however Bondi refused.

Massie referred to as out Bondi for refusing to acknowledge the victims.
“I think that was kind of cold on her part,” Massie stated on “This Week.” “I think she was afraid to. And look, these survivors would love to have a meeting. It’s not about Bill Clinton and it’s not about Donald Trump, this Epstein Files Transparency Act was about getting these survivors justice. We’ve got some degree of transparency, but it’s called the Department of Justice, not the department of transparency.”
Bondi was referred to as out for the Justice Department redacting a number of excessive profile folks’s names from the Epstein information, together with Leslie Wexner, the previous CEO of Victoria’s Secret, who was listed within the information as a “child sex trafficking co-conspirator.” Massie requested Bondi who was accountable for the redaction. Bondi stated his title was added again in inside 40 minutes of the discharge of the information. When Massie stated it was added again as a result of he caught her “red-handed,” Bondi stated he had “Trump derangement syndrome” and referred to as him a “failed politician.”
“When I asked her specifically who redacted Leslie Wexner’s name from the one document that mattered, she couldn’t give me an answer, she wouldn’t give me an answer,” Massie stated. “But ultimately, it’s her who is responsible for the document production according to our law, the attorney general. It’s not [Deputy Attorney General] Todd Blanche. It’s not the people below them. You can assign tasks to people, but you can’t assign your responsibility.”
