Amélie de Montchalin, new first president of the Court of Auditors, will “refrain from participating” to the debates on public funds 2025, introduced the Court of Auditors in a press launch printed Monday February 23.
“The first president has decided to abstain from participating in the deliberations relating to the work relating to the execution of the State budget and Social Security for 2025 and the certification of the 2025 accounts as well as the reports concerning the organizations over which she has exercised authority over the last three years”declared the establishment.
The former Minister of Action and Public Accounts took up her new place on Monday.
Lively controversy after his appointment
Regarding the 2026 funds, which Mme Montchalin as minister, no announcement was made. “Pursuant to Article L. 120-10 of the Financial Jurisdictions Code, the first president today submitted her declaration of interests to the Court’s ethics panel”merely acknowledged the Court of Auditors.
The appointment of Mme Montchalin by the President of the Republic on February 11 precipitated a vigorous controversy within the political world.
