Agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement are persevering with to scare, intimidate and disrupt day-to-day life for Minnesota’s dad and mom, college students and lecturers, regardless of the Trump administration saying a drawdown of brokers earlier this month, native faculty officers instructed Minnesota Public Radio.

“I had to cancel school because of all of our staff that were not feeling safe to come to work,” Fridley Public Schools Superintendent Brenda Lewis instructed MPR News throughout a current tour of her district, positioned simply north of Minneapolis.

Lewis stated she used to solely see ICE hanging round her faculties throughout scholar arrival and dismissal instances, a tactic that she believes was meant to intimidate and “let us know that they were there.”

The district’s security and safety coordinator, Steve Monsrud, known as the brokers’ conduct not like something he’s ever seen from regulation enforcement.

“They seem to be pretty aggressive and short-tempered, and maybe not the best trained,” he stated.
