Jones, who misplaced each his legs in a 2010 IED-related incident in Afghanistan, started by stating that though the U.S. dying toll appears small, it has a a lot bigger influence.

“I understand that three is a small number,” Jones stated. “But three lives lost, three Americans killed in action, is hundreds, if not thousands, of lives affected — really, millions — for every American out there that understands what that’s like.”

“You know, I’ve seen it. I’ve experienced it. But we’ve been at war for less than 24 hours … What’s different here for me is to understand that these men and women, whoever they are, that died in his counterattack — they didn’t say goodbye to their families contemplating their own mortality, the way a lot of us did for 20 years of going to war. They didn’t know they were going to an active war.”

“But I think it’s OK for any Americans who are saying, ‘Wait, just a minute. Tell me more. Tell me why we’re at war. Explain to me why this was imminent,’” Jones stated.

He added that wanting extra details about the assault doesn’t diminish “your patronage to the American government, or even if you’re MAGA or what have you.”

Jones added: “I think that should be a part of the conversation. I would be a hypocrite if I didn’t sit here and say, ‘I don’t care who the president is. The American people should ask questions and demand answers when our blood is shed.’ And that has happened. And those three men and/or women are heroes, and their lives matter, and we should want to know exactly what happened and how that doesn’t happen again.”

“We accept, in this country, zero casualties,” Jones stated. “We are that good at warfare, and we’re that smart about it.”

He concluded by doubling down on his name for readability.

“And I don’t think that’s a bad thing — I don’t think it questions even this administration to feel that way,” Jones stated.

In an eight-minute video posted to Truth Social following the assault Saturday morning, Trump stated the target of the mission was to “to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime” and insisted that Iran “can never have a nuclear weapon.”

This is regardless of Trump claiming — simply final yr — that Iran’s nuclear services had already “been completely and totally obliterated.”

Trump has given numerous explanations to completely different media shops for initiating a struggle with out congressional approval.
