Fox News admitted to displaying an outdated clip of President Donald Trump at a dignified switch — one which didn’t present him in a white baseball cap with “USA” written on it.

On Saturday, Trump attended the dignified switch of six U.S. navy members who have been killed within the warfare with Iran. His option to put on a white baseball cap on the switch was known as “shocking” and “disgraceful,” and Trump was accused of getting “no sense of dignity.”

Fox News acknowledged the “mistake” throughout Sunday’s episode of “Fox and Friends.”

“We inadvertently aired video from an older dignified transfer instead of the ceremony that took place yesterday,” “Fox and Friends Weekend” co-host Griff Jenkins mentioned. “We deeply regret the error and extend our respected condolences to the service members’ families.”

In a press release to HuffPost, a Fox News Media spokesperson mentioned they remorse the error.

“FOX News Media programs inadvertently aired file footage from a previous dignified transfer while discussing yesterday’s ceremony at Dover Air Force Base,” the assertion mentioned. “The archival footage was mistakenly used during the video sourcing process. We regret the error and apologize for the incorrect footage.”
