“This technology disrupts humanities-trained, largely Democratic voters and makes their economic power less and increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working class, often male voters,” he defined.

It seemed little coincidence that the Palantir boss was touting a future that would sap the most political punch from some of President Donald Trump’s least favorite demographics.

Back during January’s World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Karp shared a similar outlook on labor in the AI-dominated age.

“You went to an elite school, and you studied philosophy … hopefully, you have some other skill, that one is going to be hard to market.”

He was more blunt during a November 2025 interview with Axios, where he said, “If you are the kind of person that would’ve gone to Yale, classically high IQ, and you have generalized knowledge but it’s not specific, you’re effed.”
