Trump says he’s ‘strongly considering’ pulling out of Nato over lack of help in Iran | EUROtoday

Donald Trump has mentioned that he’s strongly contemplating leaving Nato over the dearth of help proven for his assault on Iran.

The US president advised The Telegraph that the army alliance was a “paper tiger” and that taking the US out of the bloc was now “beyond reconsideration”.

“I was never swayed by Nato. I always knew they were a paper tiger, and Putin knows that too, by the way,” he advised the newspaper.

The president took purpose on the UK, saying the nation “doesn’t even have a navy”, after prime minister Sir Keir Starmer reaffirmed that Britain wouldn’t get “dragged in” to a battle that was “not our war”.
