Maialen Beloki (Donostia, 1983) has been appointed as the brand new director of the San Sebastián International Film Festival, a place she is going to assume from January 2027. The determination has been made unanimously by the Board of Directors of the occasion, made up of the San Sebastián City Council, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, the Basque Government and the Ministry of Culture. His appointment comes after an open choice course of by means of a public competitors, referred to as on March 4, with the goal of discovering the individual to switch José Luis Rebordinos, who will depart workplace on December 31, 2026 after greater than a decade on the helm of the pageant.
