The National Court has acquitted all these accused of allegedly paying unlawful commissions, between 2006 and 2016, to Angolan authorities and officers to acquire contracts in favor of Mercasa, akin to the development of a wholesale market in Luanda. Among them, the court docket has freed a number of former administrators of the general public firm, which was finally not tried, after the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office withdrew the accusation at first of the trial, which started on February 2.
