Furious residents have been left feeling “sick” at a “disgusting” overgrown backyard that’s been left to completely spiral uncontrolled.

Their neighbours’ uncared for backyard now stands at an astonishing 6ft excessive and is in stark distinction with their neat and properly tended again yard.

But Mandy Evans, 59, who lives along with her pal Fredrick Western, 71, have slammed the native council for not coping with the difficulty as their neighbours are of their 80s and the home belongs to the native authority.

It was round two years in the past that the backyard began encroaching into theirs in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

Mandy contacted Newark and Sherwood District Council for assist however says that the authority has executed a “cowboy job”.

She mentioned: “This whole situation is making me feel sick, I definitely feel disappointed by the council.

“Two years later it’s nearly six foot high, the whole of the garden, it’s disgusting.

“Something needs doing because, in the end, it is going to damage the fencing of ours.

“It is coming through the fencing, underneath and everything like that, it is peeping through and it is our space.

“We have got animals and brambles are very prickly.

“We have no choice but to rely on the council to do it for the tenants.”
