It also fails to account for the fact Paul Asbury has not given up the names of any of his co-conspirators or associates in the crime.

“We feel totally ignored. Asbury’s continued insistence on concealing the identities of his associates involved in the murder has had a terrible impact on us all as a family. And it hasn’t allowed justice for Sabina.

“Murderers and paedophiles who hold back information on their victims, can now face longer behind bars under the Prisoners Disclosure of Information About Victims Act, known more commonly as ‘Helen’s Law’.

“And the Parole Board guidance is already clear that offenders who withhold this type of information may still pose a risk to the public and therefore could be denied parole.

“That’s why it beggars belief the Parole Board is allowing a dangerous offender to be released.

“We don’t know in which area this man resides. He is allowed to work and commute in our community, and we fear he is still a potential threat to our safety and to the public’s safety.

“We will continue to challenge the numerous systemic injustices across the criminal, civil and public justice institutions, as we believe there should be a fair, just and reasonable system. Justice has not been served for Sabina.”

In an announcement the Ministry of Justice mentioned final evening: “The decision to release Paul Asbury was made by the independent Parole Board after a thorough risk assessment. He is now subject to probation supervision and strict conditions for the rest of his life, and can be recalled to prison if he breaks them.”
