The opposition chief of Venezuela, Maria Corina Machado, intervendr Monday at 4:00 p.m. within the Ibero-American Affairs Committee of the Senate.
In this manner, the invitation that the president of the PP prolonged to him on repeated events shall be fulfilled, Alberto Nez Feijo, to the Venezuelan chief in opposition to the Government of Nicolas Maduro, for intervention within the Spanish Courts.
From the PP they emphasize that “the fight for democracy and freedom is one of the ideological principles” of the formation, and so they take into account that “the situation in Venezuela is very worrying” so that they wish to “give a voice” to those that ” “the Venezuelan regime takes them away.”
In this sense, the PP spokesperson in the Upper House, Alicia Garcia, will hold a meeting in the Senate on the same day with the following opponents: Leopoldo Lpez Gil, Antonieta de Lpez, Leopoldo Lpez Mendoza, Lilian Tintori, Antonio Ledesma, Victoria Capriles and Miguel Enrique Otero.
Venezuela hold presidential elections on Sunday, July 28, 2024, an appointment that María Corina Machado will not be able to attend after being disqualified by the Bolivarian regime.
