Germany: Inflation slows in August, +1.9% yoy | EUROtoday

In August, inflation in Germany slowed to -0.1% on a month-to-month foundation and +1.9% on an annual foundation (from +2.3% in July). This was reported by the Federal Statistical Office Destatis, confirming the preliminary estimate. Harmonized inflation was unfavourable by 0.2% on a month-to-month foundation and up by 2% on a yearly foundation.
