Anis Bouvard, a 29-year-old worker living in Haute-Savoie, had disappeared for three months: he changed his number, closed his Facebook account, left the departmental federation of the National Rally (RN), looked for a new job. With his locks stuck in gel and hair on his tongue, Anis Bouvard is one of the novice candidates that the far-right party threw, without preparing them, into the campaign for the legislative elections of June and July, before treating them as “bad apples” and“casting errors”. One of the faces of the fiasco of Jordan Bardella’s “Matignon plan” announced well before the surprise dissolution of the National Assembly on June 9. Hundreds of activists thus found themselves candidates almost in spite of themselves, then debaters for a day on TV sets. Many created a surprise in the first round, before losing their means in one of the craziest – and often the most traumatic – experiences of their lives.

Since then, several of them have chosen to hide. This is the case of Paule Veyre de Soras, who wore the colors of the RN in the 1^D constituency of Mayenne. Interviewed on the evening of the first round, June 30, in the middle of the hydrangeas of the prefecture, the candidate defended herself, in front of the camera of the Globea local media outlet, for belonging to a racist and xenophobic party: “My ophthalmologist is a Jew, and my dentist is a Muslim. » The video has half a million views and, five days later, forces Marine Le Pen to defend her candidates: “good people” according to her “in the image of France”. Discreetly, however, the RN landed the boss of the RN federation of Mayenne and lifelong activist, Jean-Michel Cadenas, in other words the “leader” of Paule Veyre de Soras. As for the latter, she vanished into thin air, does not respond to emails and has also changed her number.
