Around 185 billion euros for schooling
The state invested extra money in colleges, universities and daycare facilities in 2023 than within the earlier 12 months. However, the rise in spending was inconsistently distributed.
The federal, state and native governments spent round 185 billion euros on schooling final 12 months. That was 4.4 % greater than within the earlier 12 months, in accordance with the Federal Statistical Office. The state invested a mean of two,200 euros per resident, 100 euros greater than in 2022.
However, at 4.5 %, the share of public schooling spending in gross home product (GDP) was slightly below the earlier 12 months’s degree of 4.6 %.
