“Talking about inner worlds! This is the first color page for my graphic novel IN. I have the firm belief that there are worlds within each person. Complex, colorful, sometimes terrifying. And we all too often choose to hide those worlds because moving through life is easier. Have grayscale and surface level interactions, come out of conversations unscathed, come home and see Love Island. But I think that when we tell ourselves the things we really mean, when we say the things that matter, we can tap into those inner worlds and explore the people in our lives like we’ve never done before. When the characters of IN “They stop acting and start saying what really matters, they explore the inner worlds of the people they are talking to as if they were impressive physical landscapes.”
