This week’s e-newsletter involves you from Provence (include me by way of Instagram!). It’s my closing analysis journey of the 12 months. In the previous couple of weeks, I’ve been hopping on and off trains to journey throughout France from Alsace and Nancy within the East to Lyon and the Rhone Valley within the south, Normandy within the north and the Loire Valley within the heart.
I’ve been to Versailles and Paris a number of occasions searching for out what’s new and outright fabulous, and if you would like to come back with me within the spring – be a part of me on an unique, small group, week-long tour to the center of Paris !
My analysis is for articles, and naturally I’ll be sharing them in a future concern of The Good Life France Magazine. Plus I’m additionally engaged on a brand new information e-book to France which began out being 101 locations to go to however has acquired for much longer!
Meanwhile at residence the cats do not care that Christmas is coming and suppose that the little tree I’ve is a brand new toy for them – they’re fascinated by the shiny baubles and tinsel. The white peacock decoration that’s often the crowning glory has been safely stashed away – that is simply an excessive amount of temptation for my furry household. I’m pondering of hanging the tree from the beams like folks did within the Middle Ages in France, however I’m unsure if the cats will see this as a kind of ninja problem and leap up and actually swing from the rafters, which can make the canines go mad with envy. 7 cats a-swinging, 4 canines a-barking, 2 people shouting – it is not a good suggestion is it… and no partridge in a pear tree!
In just a few extra days the Mayor will activate the little string of Christmas lights within the tree exterior the city corridor (we do not do early season festive razzmatazz right here!), and the whole lot will begin to decelerate in my little village as winter formally begins and the intense enterprise of planning the festive meals celebrations start (I’ll inform you extra about this in subsequent week’s e-newsletter!).
I’d prefer to say an unlimited, heartfelt thanks to all who’ve learn and shared the most recent The Good Life France Magazine, the Winter concern and our anniversary fortieth version – your sharing it’s the finest Christmas current I might have – thanks a lot – and in addition for all the beautiful messages you have shared with me about it (sure I agree, it is a actually pretty concern even when I do say so myself!).
I’m off to hunt for a truffle now in a forest in Provence – I want you an excellent weekend, and kisses from me and the truffle-seeking hound by my aspect!
Have a pleasant weekend from magical Provence
