At least three individuals have died in a bus accident in northern Norway. The bus with 58 individuals on board left the street and fell right into a lake. Apparently there have been largely vacationers on the bus.

A bus had a critical accident in northern Norway within the early afternoon. The car veered off European Route 10 close to Hadsel in heavy snow and robust winds and fell right into a lake close to Raftsund between Lofoten and mainland Norway. According to the police, three individuals have been killed. Eleven individuals are being handled in hospital, however none of them are in a life-threatening situation.

“The bus is partially submerged,” the newspaper Verdens Gang (VG) quoted rescue chief Örjan Delbekk as saying. The situations on website are troublesome. Fire brigade, rescue employees and police are on website. The hospital within the Nordland area declared a catastrophe and arrange a care middle for family.

58 individuals affected

According to the knowledge, there have been 58 individuals on board the bus on the route between Narvik and the Lofoten archipelago – lots of them overseas residents. Some of the passengers have been staying at a close-by college, others have been being taken to a lodge, Norwegian media mentioned.

Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Störe spoke of a “very serious situation” and expressed his condolences to these affected. He thanked the police, emergency providers and hospital workers for his or her efforts.
