Three law enforcement officials will face trial in Paris for the 2020 demise of Cédric Chouviat, who died in hospital after shedding consciousness whereas being arrested. The of 42-year-old was tackled to the bottom throughout his arrest and repeatedly instructed police workplaces he was “suffocating”. The case has drawn comparisons to the demise of George Floyd within the US.
