The University of Alabama on Wednesday confirmed that one in all its doctoral college students has been arrested off-campus by federal immigration authorities.
While the college has not recognized the identify of the coed, information by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement present Alireza Doroudi, an Iranian citizen whose LinkedIn profile lists he’s pursuing a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering on the University of Alabama, is within the company’s custody.
